This cozy outdoor kitchen and lounge  in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood is accessible and visible year round from the primary living areas of the residence.  A cohesive design is the foundation of any successful project and here at Rooftopia, our teams are passionate about designing and building harmonious indoor to outdoor environments. While developing a turnkey solution for this luxury outdoor space we prioritized creating a seamless flow from the indoor space to the outdoor deck as it is an immediate extension of the home. The evening mood is relaxed and magical, allowing our clients to enjoy the deck for outdoor grilling, entertaining, and cozy seating and dining. 

The high end outdoor kitchen features a gas grill, an integrated vent hood, marine grade aluminum cabinets, custom concrete countertops and an outdoor TV. The custom designed pergola and privacy screens are a mix of cedar and steel and the flooring tiles are porcelain. 

A key part of the design was a well crafted lighting plan as natural light was obstructed due to the surrounding buildings and structures. While offering functionality and safety, the lighting in this outdoor lounge also provides cohesion and a warm elegant ambience. Lighting fixtures include several up-down wall lights and a series of integrated LEDs in the pergola that reflect light from the decorative ceiling materials and structural I-beams.
